Who Ya Gonna Call?

This is possibly the coolest news story I've read in quite some time. I've been following it since last year, and trying to see whether it would turn out to be a hoax. So far it hasn't.

When a couple returned home on December 12th 2008 from a vacation, they found their house had been burgled while they were away. Furthermore the burglar was still in the house. The couple found the 36 year old house breaker in a state of panic, fatigued and dehydrated. Once they were over the shock they called an ambulance and the police.

Here's where the story gets interesting. The unnamed burglar had broken into the house in Kuala Lumpa three days before the couple's return and claims that a ghost held him prisoner there without food or water until the family's return. He says that whenever he attempted to leave a supernatural figure shoved him to the ground, even when he'd given up trying to take the things he'd stolen.

Anyone else want a ghostly burglar alarm for Christmas?

  1. Either you didn't understand what Mik is suggesting he'd help you with, or you're really convinced that you'll come back as casper, the friendly security ghost. :left:.I wonder what the THC level in the intruder's blood stream was?.

  2. *calls his old friend*Hey Egon, how're Janine and the kids? Listen, can you do me a favour? Yeah I need you to get Ray, Winston and Peter out of retirement for one last gig. Cheers dude.

  3. Will a cat one do? :D:sst: Taking something is burglarizing it over here (so a TV set may be burglarized), while the act itself is burgling and the past tense is burgled. Either way it's an archaic term not really used anymore. Probably one of those splitting the language differences.
