Well, here's something you don't see every day. A woman visits someone in a professional capacity and the first thing she does is to get her breast out. What? Oh, so you do see that every day eh? You know, that says more about you than my writing skills. Anyway, back to the woman and her breast…

You can see a photo of her with it out over on the right. Looks a little strange doesn't it? That's because it's the newest tool commissioned by the NHS – a knitted woolen breast. These models, created by the Somerset Mother's Union, are being used to teach new mothers techniques for breast feeding as well as how to deal with problems such as blocked ducts and they will be issued to health visitors and community nurses.

Knitted breasts have been used for years in other countries but have only recently made their way over here. If you want to knit your own breasts (for whatever purpose you want, I'm not judging you) then you can find a pattern right here.
